ASSOCIATED STUDENTS
Associated Students is CSUMB's student-run government that strives to make every voice heard! Meetings are every Monday from 12-2PM in the University Center conference rooms.
INTER-CLUB COUNCIL
Inter-Club Council (ICC) is a committee of recognized clubs and organizations at CSUMB. The council's mission is to create and support club based activities and events that enrich the campus life experience of the students, faculty, and staff. The council also serves as a venue for clubs to highlight club activities, coordinate event schedules, offer support and guidance to each other, seek solutions to common problems, and express concerns related to student organizations at CSUMB. This council also facilitates club funding through Associated Students.
Inter-Club Council meetings are every other Monday starting the 2nd week of classes at noon in the Student Center. Board meetings are on the opposite weeks (starting the 1st week of classes) at the same day and time and are open to everyone although not required to remain in good standing as a student club.
MULTICULTURAL GREEK COUNCIL
The purpose and pride of the Multicultural Greek Council at CSUMB shall be to: uphold the values of the University's Vision Statement, promote culture, community service, and enhance leadership and academics; to create and maintain a high standard of life for Greek Letter Organizations. Multicultural Greek Council meetings are every other Wednesday starting September 1, 2010 at 8pm in the Student Center.
STUDENT CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS
Student organizations offer an excellent way to meet others, develop leadership skills, deepen specific interests and concerns, and become part of the experiences that lay the foundation of our university and help fulfill its Vision. By becoming involved, your time at CSUMB will become more meaningful, productive, and enjoyable, and you will enhance your learning outside of the classroom.
Open to all members of the CSUMB community including staff and faculty, student organizations enrich our campus life through events, programs, activities, projects, and service. They fall into several categories including academic, community service, cultural, political/social action, recreations, religious, and sports. In short, CSUMB organizations are diverse and very active, so our campus offers countless ways to be involved!
NEW STUDENT OTTER ORIENTATION
Each semester the campus community presents New Student Otter Orientation to ensure your transition to CSUMB is a successful one. Orientation provides new students an opportunity to receive advising, register for classes, learn about campus and community involvement, and answer any questions you may have about the University. We strongly encourage families to attend as well.
In order to register for orientation complete the Enrollment Confirmation and provide a $100 Enrollment Deposit to the Office of Admissions. If the Enrollment Deposit is not paid, you will not be able to sign up for New Student Otter Orientation.
