Welcome to California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB)!

We are excited that you will be joining us in the Fall of 2013! Each semester the campus community presents New Student Otter Orientation to ensure your transition to CSUMB is successful. Orientation provides new students an opportunity to receive advising, register for classes, learn about campus and community involvement, and answer any questions you may have about the University. We strongly encourage families to attend as well.

In order to register for orientation complete the Enrollment Confirmation and provide a $100 Enrollment Deposit to the Office of Admissions. If the Enrollment Deposit is not paid, you will not be able to sign up for New Student Otter Orientation. 

Once you have completed the Enrollment Confirmation, you will be sent an email from the office of Admissions with instructions on how to register for orientation. If you have any questions regarding the Enrollment Confirmation or the $100 Enrollment Deposit please contact the Office of Admissions at (831)582-3738.

Orientation Dates

The following are the dates of New Student Otter Orientation for Fall 2013:

Friday, June 14 - Transfer students *Family and Guest Program (NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

Saturday, June 15 – Freshmen *additional Spanish language program for families and guests
(NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

Monday, June 17 – Freshmen

Thursday, June 20 - Transfer students

Friday, June 21 - Transfer students

Saturday, June 22 – Freshmen *additional Spanish language program for families and guests

Monday, June 24 - Freshmen

TRANSFER STUDENTS: In order to ensure that your Transfer Credit Evaluation is completed prior to your orientation date, please register for an orientation session no later than Tuesday, May 14 at 7:00PM.

Please note, there is a cap of 200 students per orientation session on a first come, first serve basis. Students must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed. Transfer students, be sure to bring a copy (official or unofficial) of your transcripts to orientation.
