What is it?
Poseidon Games is a competition between first-year student residence halls (Cypress, Asilomar, Willet, Manzanita, Yarrow, and Avocet). Students will receive 5 points per person for their residence hall when they attend designated events, unless otherwise indiacted.


How do I, a first-year student, participate in the Poseidon Games?
Students attend events that are designated as being eligible for the Poseidon Games competition. Click here to check the list of designated events. Also, eligible events will be indicated in the weekly Otter Be Involved.


What do I do when I go to an event that is eligible for the Poseidon Games?
Look for the bright orange sign-in sheet and fill in the required information: name, student ID #, and name of res. hall. The sign-in sheet will be at the event entrance 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after each event begins.


How will I know if my residence hall is wining?
Every two weeks standings will be updated on the Poseidon Games page and in the Otter Be Involved.


How long does the Poseidon Games last?
The competition begins in August and ends in November.


What does the winning residence hall get?
The winning residence hall will receive a pizza or ice cream party (their choice). Also, a perpetual trophy will be engraved with the winning res. hall name and will be displayed in various campus locations.
